Chiang Mai

Shopping:
Excellent street markets

Tip:

Try the delicious cakes and pies at 'Love at First Bite'. It's popular very popular with the locals and tourists. You'll find it over the bridge near to a Christian School.

The night life in Chiang Mai is not as busy as you would expect for a city. There are plenty of bars around but these close quite early leaving a few intimate clubs open for those that can make it past 1am.

I would recommend visiting the Sunday night market, as well as the daily night markets. These are located in the middle of the city and sell various hand made tourist items for very reasonable prices.

How many people can you fit in a tuk tuk?!

Overall we absolutely loved our 7 day visit to Chaing Mai and were pleasantly surprised with everything here. Ian normally hates cities and can't wait to get out of  them but Chiang Mai is quite hard to leave, I would go as far as saying that i could temporarily live here.

A night out in Chiang Mai
