We booked a day bus that departed at 08:30am from Sihanoukaville with 'The Beach Bar & Restaurant' for $15 each and were told to expect a 12hr journey. We were going to book a night bus but it was slightly more money and the only bus that had availability had a bus change at Phnom Penh at 2am. We decided it was too much hassle and went with the day bus instead.
We got a tuk tuk from Otres Beach to the bus station and the bus departed at 09:00am. The bus had a toilet on board and journey went smoothly with us arriving in Siem Reap at 10am. From here we got a tuk tuk for $1 each to the town area to look for accommodation.
